Capstone is a live-fire demonstration (as opposed to an exercise) for the military brass, distinguished visitors, and the politically well connected. For the rest of us, we just park on a mesa just off of highway 95. The location of the mesa is at N36 31 06.5 W115 32 18.7, about two miles south of Point Bravo (aka Point B on some maps).

Most show is pretty much dominated by A10's. For those who view the event from the road, the sound from the bombs arrives about 6 seconds later. The experience would be better closer to the action, but that could be dangerous to one's health.

Equal time for the B1B.

I forget who made this mess.

Two B1Bs and a F15.

A few of the A10's came out by road. This pilot knew where to go to get photographed.
