Fight The Power

George W. Bush has stolen the election. He was selected, not elected. He didn't win the majority of the vote, no matter how much his henchwoman tries to spin the situation. Bush is in power due to the political intervention of the US Supreme Court thanks to a one vote margin.

On January 20th, 2001, 10000+ loyal Americans (the kind who believe votes should be counted) assembled at the San Francisco Civic Center to protest the installation of George W. Bush  (AKA Shrub, AKA the Texecutioner, AKA  Slobogeorge Milosebush) as President of the United States.

Around noon when this photo was taken, the crowd was about 3000. It just kept growing and growing.....

With 10000+ protestors, I couldn't photograph but a fraction of the crowd. Here are a few of the participants. Note the diversity of the crowd, both in race and age. Assuming we have a fair election someday, these are the people that will restore democracy to the system.

The protest was sponsored by www.iacenter.org   , which paid for the permit. The SFPD shut down streets so that the march could proceed to Jefferson Park.
