ogg audio (04/24/2008, 9.4Mbytes) Callsign of the month is Amber. Tower on right channel, control on left channel. Note the expression "cross the :DAF".  This may be the Device Assembly Facility at the Nevada Test Site. Military callsign Chevy 16 and Chevy 15. Amber 2 refers to "media day arrivals". This probably refers to visitors at the Nevada Test Site or perhaps Yucca Mountain. They route the 737 Janets so that they can't be seem from the NTS. I'd hate to think they had Media Day at Groom Lake and I wasn't invited.

ogg audio (04/23/2008, 12.9MBytes) Callsign of the month is Amber.  Tower on right channel, control on left channel. Non-janet flights Chevy 68, Chevy 36. One of the Beech Janets does a 14 landing, i.e loops around and lands towards the south.

ogg audio (6/18/2007, 6.2Mbytes)  Callsign of the month is "Dumbo." Keyhole 2 in effect; Right channel is control, left channel is tower.. Fixes STAGE, ABBIE, SMOKY, and crater. Callsign WEED24 and WEED68  are Groom test aircraft. 

ogg_audio (6/13/2007, 2.6Mbyes)  WEED63 flew specific orbits for this test.. Three distinct ground voices can be heard."Ramrod" was the ground control callsign. Callsign "coffee tree" called out air traffic warnings during the test. The plane is a two seater, with both seats occupied. References to X band and C band are probably for IFF transponder.

wave audio (5/19/2006, 3.2Mbytes) Janets using Jester (perhaps Chester) callsign. Military flights using Indy callsign (hey, it was close to Memorial Day and time for the big race). Note the use of Keyhole-1. Also, a coyote was on the runway. Unknown if the space aliens like to eat coyote, but I hear it tastes just like chicken. [Ow-oooooo]

wave audio (9/30/2005,  509kbytes) Slow mover Eagle 34 (perhaps a chopper) sweeps birds from the runway. Birdwatch condition elevated to severe.

wave audio (8/19/2005, 3.682Mbytes) Military flights Philly 60,  25, 36, 63, 65 and 61, plus Janets using the Sting callsign. New fixes "Abbie"  and "Teddy" used. Sting 0 should be a Janet. The unusual operation may be to qualify the pilot or new equipment. Telescope Peak is in Death Valley, so perhaps the plane was going to Edwards or Palmdale.

It's not your computer.] Glideslope is mentioned, which means the base must also have a localizer. Sting 09 accidentally IDs as Janet 09. ;-)
 
wave audio (7/21/2005, 1.973Mbytes) Groom Lake air traffic recorded from the Power Line Overlook that is mostly Janets using the Razor callsign with the exception of a plane with callsign Sparky 32.  The reference to "foxtrot bravo" pertains to using certain taxiways. The audio contains  a  waring for a pilot regarding a nearby UAV.
