What looks like an out-house on the hill is a religious monument. The hill is known as Mount Aaron, and is the sacred site for the Aaronites. The best way to get there is just hike up the hill. It is a 100% grade, a bit less steep than climbing to the false summit of Tikaboo. The road is at the bottom of the photograph. If you climb the hill, just go in a straight path. There is no right way or wrong way, just up.

The box on the left contains a log that you can sign to prove you made it to the hallowed. land. There is also religious literature. On the right is the monument. Don't worry that you can't see the text on the plaque, because it's in the next frame.

There is a parking area on the opposite side of the highway from the monument. If you are heading on the ET highway from Alamo towards Rachel, the parking area is on your right just past Horney's. If you have a GPS, the coordinates for the parking area are N37 25 50 W115 22 25.7. The monument is at N37 25 52.9 W115 22 18.3
If you don't want to hike straight up the 100% grade, you can sneak around the back. If you are in the parking area and facing the monumnt, cross the highway and head towards the left to a spot just beyond the hill (GPS coordinates N37 25 57.8 W115 22 28.2). Basically, walk to the left of the hill along this wash of sorts (too big for a wash and too small for a canyon) until you can see the monument up on the hill towards your right. Proceed up the hill from this location, which is not nearly as steep as the direct path from the parking area. For those with a GPS:
N37 25 50.0 W115 22 25.7 (parking area)
N37 25 57.8 W115 22 28.2 (start hike here)
N37 25 59.6 W115 22 28.5 (intermediate point)
N37 26 00.4 W115 22 24.6 (intermediate point)
N37 26 00.5 W115 22 18.9 (You can now see the monument on your right, so climb the hill from here)
N37 25 52.9 W115 22 18.3 (the holy land)
Even if you hiked straight up the hill, I suggest taking this alternate path back down. Going down always seems more slippery than going up.
