Thunder, lightning, and rain. These were not conditions for fine photography. Often the only illumination would be the sun poking out through a small opening in the sky. When the photos look grainy, it is due to extreme cropping. OK, enough griping.

I shot virtually everything landing at Nellis. However, few had readable tail numbers due to the poor illumination. All photos taken from Las Vegas Blvd near "the fence". The really dark looking photographs were taken under extreme overcast except for the hole in the clouds letting through a shaft of light. It would have been better if the sun was just obscured.

When the sun comes out, taking photos from Las Vegas Blvd is doable, though a bit far away to get really dramatic photographs.
F15 based in the pacific, probably Kadena, Japan.

Probably from the 66th rescue squadron, but the tail number is obscured.

The gun in this chopper was just dangling.

Clearly, the arms in this chopper were armed.
