Red Flag 2006-1

If you see landing gear, the photographs were taken at Nellis AFB. Otherwise, the photographs were taken at various locations on the eastern side of the Nellis range (Coyote Summit and Crash Mountain). The Nellis shots were done from the speedway, which explains the poor quality.

The next two photographs were taken from Crash Mountain. This is a C-130K.based on the refueling rod. It was designated SF-130 or Special Forces 130 on Blackjack radio by the ground units.

This C-130K is not afraid of it's shadow. Signs were recently added to the ET Highway warning drivers of low flying aircraft.

Flares

This was shot near Cedar Pipeline Ranch. I'm not sure if the flares are due to a furball or a Smokey SAM launch.

The Smokey SAM is long gone, but you can see the smoke trail.
